10/66 Dementia Research Group (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
The 10/66 Dementia Research Group focuses on dementia
research in developing countries. Less than one tenth of all
population-based research into dementia has been directed
towards the two-thirds or more of all people with dementia
who live in the developing world. Hence '10/66' The Group.
The site contains summaries of the current research projects.
The Group is part of Alzheimer's Disease International and is
supported by the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, UK.

This guide covers psychological first aid (PFA) which involves humane, supportive and practical help to fellow human beings suffering serious crisis events. It is written for people in a position to help others who have experienced an extremely distressing event. Topics include: Understanding PFA, How to Help Responsibly, Providing PFA, Caring for Yourself and Collegues and Practice What You Have Learned. The guide is downloadable as a PDF file and was published in 2011 by the World Health Organization.

This is the site of the World Health Organization's
Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. The
Department aims to reduce the burden of mental disorders
worldwide, and promote mental health. The site includes links
to the following full-text publications with practical
healthcare information:
Investing in Mental Health;
Mental
Health for Refugees, also in French and Spanish from the
same link;
Epilepsy,
a manual for health workers in Africa;
Preventing
suicide, a resource for primary health care workers, also
in French and Estonian from the same link;
Essential Treatment in Psychiatry; Essential Drugs in

non-profit organization working to protect the human rights
of those defined as mentally ill by identifying and
